The KBRCW30 is a KBRC (Carbon) block with a thin layer of natural varnished wood, capable of handling a working load of 3 tons. It offers all the performance of the KBRC with an added touch of aesthetics.
With or without wood veneer, this block is designed for racing and super yachts. It’s a low-friction lashing block intended for high loads and is used on Ultims, Imocas, and numerous Super Yachts. Very few blocks on the market can achieve a friction coefficient of 2% under such high loads. It features a titanium sheave, titanium rollers, ceramic side balls, and varnished carbon cheeks. The KBRC and its variations are certainly among the highest-performing blocks on the market.

– Natural wood veneer
– Used on many racing yachts & super yachts
– Reliable and resistant even under very heavy load
– Carbon flanges
– Titanium sheave for weight and resistance
– Titanium roller bearing and lateral ceramic balls on treated titanium raceways (Karver patent)
– Compact tulip sheaves
– Minimal friction even under very high load (2%)
– Impressive longevity of the bearings (due to the low friction)
– Anti-overturning shape. The pulley remains straight whatever the direction of the effort
– Very generous central space to come and fix several lashings (low runners for example)
– The lashing in the middle is also too big a guarantee of safety. If the pulley breaks (for external reasons of course!), The lashing will still retain the rope while the installation is secure.
– A real design that stands out from other pulleys on the market
– Range from 1.5 T to 40 T. We keep ALL models up to KBRC160 (16T) in stock).
– Available with a leather (KBRCL) or wood (KBRCW) finish – Also available with aluminum (KBR A) or stainless steel (KBR M) flanges)
– Delivered without textile shackle
– The blocks are delivered with the bearings lightly greased which has the effect of an impression of significant friction when one tries to make them turn by hand (without load). Our goal is not to have low friction at no load, but very low friction at high loads.
– The 2 flanges are fixed by very tight Dyneema® lashes. It is possible to remove one of its fasteners to allow more open angles.
– In case of opening the KBRC blocks (service/maintenance), make sure to properly tighten the lashing of the flanges as originally set to avoid a slight opening under load that could cause premature bearing wear.
– For complex pruchase system assemblies ensure that each block is naturally and freely aligned in its axis. A perfect natural alignment will reduce friction and extend the lifespan of the blocks.
